Contractors Needed!

ASSIST is a private non-profit that was founded in 1969.  We provide emergency home repair assistance to low income families and architectural design assistance to persons with disabilities or other needs.  Our organization provides grant assistance to over 500+ families per year addressing numerous housing repair issues. We receive funding through the Federal Government via CDBG grants – Community Development Block Grants.  Women and minority owned businesses are encouraged to apply.

Basic requirements include completing the attached “Contractor Qualification” form, the attached “Section 3” form, and providing certificates of insurance for General Liability and Worker’s Compensation, with ASSIST Inc named as a certificate holder.

If you are interested in doing work with our organization and need additional information, please contact our Home Repair Program Director Andrés Calderón at 801-355-7085.

ASSIST also provides an annual scholarship named after our founder, Carl Inoway, to a college student pursuing an architecture degree. Your donation could go towards that, or funding additional projects in our community to help our neighbors stay in their homes safely.

Volunteer

We have a volunteer board of directors who assist in the oversight of our programs. We also have a Resident Advisory Board who review all of our emergency home repair applications to verify qualifying homeowners.
